Blue Sky Thinking: New Blue Topaz and Opal Rings

I’m excited to share a new selection of rings which have recently arrived on the website.

When it comes to sourcing gemstones, I always take my time. My selections begin with my own personal taste — but always with you in mind. Before jewellery, I spent many years as a womenswear buyer, so I’m naturally aware of jewellery trends and they do, to some extent, influence my designs. However, the beauty of the raw materials will always make my final decision.

My jewellery goes beyond trends. These stones are timeless.

The May Ring in Blue Topaz

The May ring above is set with an oval faceted Blue Topaz stone.

This gemstone is bezel set — meaning it is encased in silver — and sits beautifully on a graduated slim band. The clean setting allows the stone to feel strong and refined, while still keeping the overall design elegant and easy to wear.

Blue Topaz comes in a wide variety of shades, each with its own name, such as Swiss Blue or Sky Blue. My personal preference is Sky Blue, in a high grade of clarity. These stones are incredibly clear, and the shade of blue is simply beautiful. They give me so much pleasure just looking at them.

The Kim Ring: Blue Opal Beauty

Keeping with blues, I’m so excited to introduce the Kim ring, bezel set with a cabochon Blue Opal — a smooth stone without facets.

When I first came across these stones, I wasn’t entirely sure which gemstone family they belonged to. I just knew I wanted them. I was thrilled to discover they were Opals.

What I love most about these Blue Opals is that each stone has its own individual markings. No two are the same, making every Kim ring completely unique.

The Kim ring is a true statement ring. Wear it confidently as a single focal piece — whether styled with a white shirt and jeans or a feminine dress. I would personally team it with the Clemancy cuff and the Sandrine necklace, keeping the shapes strong and sculptural rather than delicate and fine.

The combination of blue and silver is a stylishly winning formula.

The Isha Ring: Light and Versatility

The Isha ring above is a brand new design.

The sides of the setting are open, allowing extra light to pass through the stone. This detail enhances the beauty of the round Blue Topaz and allows it to shine in a natural way.

The Isha ring looks fantastic layered with the Molly plain silver band for a stronger statement. It’s easy to wear and incredibly versatile, working effortlessly with so many outfits.

And I’ll admit — I love stacking two colours of the Isha ring for maximum colour impact. It may be a little greedy, but it means I get to enjoy staring at two gemstones instead of just one.
