My story.

 

Hi, I’m Jo. I've loved design, clothing and jewellery for as long as I can remember. After school I began a fashion degree but joined Marks and Spencer before completing the degree, as I was eager to get on with life and my career.

I became a senior buyer for Marks and Spencer, working in Womenswear. I loved everything about the job; the sourcing, the travel, the fabrics, the colours, the design process, the journey of production, visiting the factories, right through to seeing the product in stores being bought by customers. After many years I left this role in London, had a family and opened a jewellery store where I bought jewellery in many ways like fashion. I had seasonal collections, influenced by clothing trends – what would work with what trend – and colour through semi-precious stones.

Again, I loved the sourcing, meeting suppliers, planning the ranges, getting to know my customers and seeing what a positive difference jewellery could make to an outfit. After over a decade of owning the shop and designing jewellery, I began working in fashion recruitment, whilst my children progressed through school.

Now my sole endeavour is, JoJo Harris, where I want to share, with you, my passion for jewellery and all it can bring to your world, creating your unique identity and elevating any outfit. Through the website and social media, I share my advice on styling, my discoveries around the history and composition of semi-precious stones and share the wonder of pearls, as well as guidance on building your essential jewellery wardrobe. I hope you enjoy my world of jewellery and sharing the passion.
