Our brief:

The client wanted to a handmade gold bangle, as opposed to a "production" looking gold bangle, which she could find anywhere. It was also important to her to include stones from an inherited brooch into the design. 

The Process:

We produced the initial design on CAD and decided on the placement of the stones and the design incorporating a "twist" effect at the front. Once approved, the stones were carefully removed from the brooch, gold was ordered and the creation began! 

The Result:

We produced a stone set solid gold bangle with a gentle hammered finish to the surface of the gold; handset each stone - pear shaped amethysts and "old cut" diamonds.

It was such a pleasure to work with the client on this project; she and her daughter were open minded to the design, yet also clear about what they wanted to achieve, understanding the potential challenages. When you are breathing new life into stones taken from another piece of jewellery that has been important in someones life it comes with a high level of responsibility, on a very personal level.  However the joy at the end when your client is happy completely outweighs the worries!
